Dry Eye Treatment That Treats the Root Cause

If you suffer from burning, gritty, watery, or irritated eyes, you’re not alone—and eye drops alone may not be enough.

At Eye Pros, we take a root-cause approach to dry eye disease, focusing on in-office treatments that reduce inflammation and restore healthy tear function. Our goal is long-term relief, not temporary masking of symptoms.

Why Dry Eye Happens

Most chronic dry eye is caused by:

Inflammation

— Chronic inflammation disrupts the tear production process

Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD)

— blocked or damaged oil glands that lead to rapid tear evaporation

That’s why our primary treatments are designed to unclog glands, calm inflammation, and stabilize the tear film, rather than relying solely on drops.

Our Core Dry Eye Treatments

At Eye Pros, we focus on in-office, root-cause dry eye therapies designed to reduce inflammation and restore healthy tear function. These treatments are recommended for many patients with chronic or evaporative dry eye disease and are offered at select Eye Pros offices.
IPL Therapy

Advanced Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Therapy

IPL uses controlled light energy to reduce eyelid inflammation, improve oil gland function, and address abnormal blood vessels that contribute to dry eye symptoms. This therapy is especially effective for patients with melbomian gland dysfunction (MGD) and evaporative dry eye.

Light-Based Therapy

Light-Based Therapy (Red Light / LLLT)

Light-based therapy gently warms and stimulates the eyelids to improve oil gland secretion and reduce inflammation. It is often used in combination with IPL when clinically indicated to enhance treatment outcomes and patient comfort.

Meibomian Gland Expression

Meibomian Gland Expression

Meibomian gland expression is performed during treatment visits to help clear blocked glands and restore healthy oil flow. This step is a critical part of long-term dry eye management and is included in all treatment packages.
